MoonCakes (月餅) ( Bánh Trung Thu)

Mooncakes are round pastries, Chinese bakery product traditionally eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival, measuring about 10 cm in diameter and 3–4 cm thick. They are surrounded by a thin (2–3 mm) crust with fillings usually made from red bean or lotus seed paste or combination of different nuts and seeds. They may contain yolks from salted duck eggs. Mooncakes are usually eaten in small pieces accompanied by Chinese tea.
